Just got two general questions I would love to have answered if anyone has any information that would help in any way.

1) This past BWE PvP character creations were allowed to *unlock* all of a characters skills (any character). I sadly missed that part and didn't get to play to the full potential that I could have. My question here is... will that continue in the final BWE or was it a one time offer? I won't ask about it for Launch because I'd imagine that you won't be allowed to *unlock* anything that you haven't already unlocked yourself when it comes to retail...

2) I know I'm not the only one that happened to get a great shot of people on fire at the end of the BWE. It was fun seeing Carrie... er, **cough** Gwen **cough**... roasting everyone alive. I was just wondering if Anet had considered making a contest for those that had pictures. I'm just curious cuz, like so many others, I think I've got a few great pictures of our last few living moments in the world of GW!

Will there still be premade PvP Characters?

We will continue to offer pre-made options to start a PvP character. But the design team has come up with an interesting concept to expand on PvP Character creation options. You can now custom create Level 20 PvP-only characters. But instead of being a standard build with a predetermined skill set, you "grow" your PvP character based on your other accomplishments. When you acquire a skill with your roleplaying characters, your PvP-only character will gain access to that skill. When you find an item in a PvM mission or quest, you can unlock the item's ability by using an Identification Kit on that item. When you do that, the item will become available to your PvP Character. Once you've unlocked a skill or magic item, it remains unlocked even if the roleplaying character used to unlock it is deleted.

This system will work nicely, I

remember, the wipe will come at some point after the next bwe and before the 27th. anything you unlock before the wipe will be gone by retail anyhow.

So were the unlockables in the PvE area? I created a new character but must have missed that *unlockable* part. Just my dumb luck!

ulockables for PvP characters include:
skills
runes
ID'ed weapon mods (not sure about this one but Gaile mentions it specifically in the FF)

if you get any of these in PvE, you get access to them on your PvP only characters.

As for contests, there have only been 2 official contests if I recall correctly. The first was a fan fiction contest on PvP experiences and the second was the guild emblem designing contest. Judging by the way they did these and that they are most likely focused on wrapping up the game for retail, I really doubt that there will be another official contest by retail release. This does not include fansite contests though..

I am not a dev, just an alpha, but I believe that unless some major balancing takes place that requires a wipe that what you gathered during this BWE will still be there come next BWE but will be wiped before release.
